Ooh La La Curiosity Market this Saturday in Asheville

July 1, 2017    Ooh La La Curiosity Market   An outdoor market in Pritchard Park  featuring works by local painters, leather smiths, jewelry makers, potters ,up-cycled crafters, and other curious delights, all beneath the colored canopies of large market umbrellas. 

In addition to the artists, the market will also feature live local music with up three musical acts performing each Saturday and will include everything from a solo saxophonist to folk, blues, acoustic, and jazz acts.

Fall Studio Stroll in Asheville's River Arts District this Weekend

November 14 - 15, 2015    River Arts District Studio Stroll   The first, largest, and most walkable tour of working artists' studios in the region, the River Arts District Studio Stroll takes place in 19 historic buildings along the French Broad River. 

There will be artists' demonstrations and hands-on activities throughout the weekend. An Information Booth will be located at the 5-points intersection of Depot St. across from the Clingman Café.

Weekend Asheville Craft Shows: Annual Village Art and Craft Fair

August 1 - 2, 2015   Annual Village Art and Craft Fair   Held on the grounds of All Souls Cathedral in Biltmore Village this year's Fair, the 42nd,  will include 120 juried exhibitors, making it one of the highest quality outdoor show of the year.  

View and shop for all types of fine art and crafts including ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry and more. Hours are Saturday 10 AM - 7 PM and Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM. Hosted by New Morning Gallery and Bellagio.

Asheville Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands this Weekend

July 16 - 19, 2015   Semi-annual Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands   Over 200 exhibitors, craft demonstrations, and live regional music and entertainment bring Asheville's Civic (US Cellular) Center alive with fine traditional and contemporary crafts. 

Both levels of the Center offer artisans exhibiting and selling works of clay, fiber, glass, leather, metal, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood and jewelry.  The Fair  showcases the work of members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild with members living in the mountain counties of nine states from Maryland to Alabama. 

This is one of the premier Asheville art and crafts event of the year.

Art in the Park Market in Downtown Asheville

June 27, 2015   Art in the Park   Artisans working in Glass, Ceramics, Wood, Jewelry, and metal show and sell in a public market setting in the center of Asheville NC in Pack Square Park. 

The event takes place on three consecutive Saturdays each June and October. Nationally known artists exhibit at this event and the best part is- they are local. 10% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local art non-profit organization.

 aSHEville Museum is a women’s cultural museum with a mission to contribute to the creation of more just and equitable world through its collection of intimate exhibits which range from historic to contemporary in scope, and local to global. Core exhibits include: Appalachian Women, 100 Years of Sexism in Advertising, and A History of Hysteria. 

aSHEville Museum also houses a variety of rotating exhibits. The Museum gift shop offers art, crafts, and gift items made by talented local and regional women artists and fair-trade women-made items supporting women's organizations. The Museum is located at 35 Wall Street in downtown Asheville NC.

Semi-Annual Studio Stroll this Weekend in Asheville's River Arts District

November 9 - 10   River Arts District Studio Stroll  The first, largest, and most walkable tour of working artists' studios in the region, the River Arts District Studio Stroll takes place in 19 historic buildings along the French Broad River. There are now more than 160 Artists and crafters in the River Arts District.

There will be artists' demonstrations and hands-on activities throughout the weekend. An Information Booth will be located at the 5-points intersection of Depot Street across from the Clingman Café.

Memorial Weekend Event: Kenilworth Art Studio Tour

May 25 -26   Kenilworth Art Studio Tour   Twenty-two artists invite you into eleven neighborhood studios & galleries. Browse and/or purchase original artwork. Kenilworth Artists Association is a community of artists in one of Asheville's oldest neighborhoods, with a lovely mix of grand homes, modest bungalows and mature gardens.

Over forty aspiring and professional artists live in the five square mile neighborhood just minutes from downtown. Each year, many of these artists open their doors to the public for a festive tour that attracts shoppers and art lovers alike. 10 AM - 5 PM both days.

River Arts District is open year aroun - meet artists in their studios. Schedules are available online. Twice a year, every second weekend in June and November, Asheville’s River Arts District opens to the public for two days of festivities known as the STUDIO STROLL. During the Studio Stroll, artists of the River Arts District welcome you into their studios to talk with them, see their latest artwork, watch demonstrations, and experience for yourself the magic hidden inside the time-worn factories which have been reborn as a thriving art center.


This unique neighborhood along the French Broad River is home to more than 165 artists with working studios located in 18 turn-of-the-century industrial buildings. The District also offers a variety of eateries from cafes to breweries.

Last Chance to see the Blue Ridge Fiber Show at the North Carolina Arboretum

Now through January 2   Blue Ridge Fiber Show: Into the Gardens  at the North Carolina Arboretum. An international, biennial celebration of fiberarts Sponsored by The Western North Carolina Fibers/ Handweavers Guild, Inc. AN Opening Reception was held October 2 in the Education Center 2nd Floor Gallery.
