Art in Autumn in Downtown Weaverville

September 15   Art in Autumn  Over 100 juried artists and craftspeople, as well as an exciting array of food and live music. The third annual Art in Autumn festival brings a lively celebration of community and fine art to the Main Street of the 'Mayberry-esque' town of Weaverville NC, just 10 minutes north of Asheville.

Ooh La La Curiosity Market Today in Asheville

August 18  Ooh La La Curiosity Market An outdoor market in Pritchard Park featuring works by local painters, leather smiths, jewelry makers, potters ,up-cycled crafters, and other curious delights, all beneath the colored canopies of large market umbrellas.

In addition to the artists, the market will also feature live local music with up three musical acts performing each Saturday and will include everything from a solo saxophonist to folk, blues, acoustic, and jazz acts.

Mother's Day Weekend Events: River Arts District Studio Stroll

 May 12     2nd Saturday Studio Stroll in the River Arts District   A day of artist demonstrations, classes, open studios and fun. Spend the day hopping from studio to studio, stop for refreshment at one of the many dining experiences including the District's brewery. 80 or more artists will be open - just look for the open studio signs.

May 12      Oh Mother!  at the Odyssey Center   A celebration of Mother's Day at the center for ceramic arts in the River Arts District. 10 AM - 6 PM all day events include Raffle to win a piece of art by Michael Parry; Delicious Refreshments;  Over 40 featured Artists;  Gifts for Mom complete with flowers and wrapping. Live music by Maggie and the Romantics.

Don't Miss the Weaverville Art Safari this Weekend

May 12-13   Weaverville Art Safari A free, self-guided tour of artists' home studios in the scenic area surrounding the villages of Weaverville and Barnardsville, North Carolina. Weaverville is located just 10 minutes north of Asheville. Visitors are granted direct access during Safari weekends to the home studios of a wide variety of local artists and a few visiting artists. The Art Safari will be preceded, as usual, by a gala preview party & silent auction on Friday night, May 11.
