Blue Ridge Parkway Hike of the Week

August 21 from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM - Join Rangers for an easy to moderate hike to the summit of Craggy Pinnacle. The 1.5-mile RT hike starts at the Craggy Dome Overlook, MP 364, just north of the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center and Craggy Pinnacle Tunnel. The easy ascent to the almost 6000' summit begins inside a rhododendron tunnel and eventually opens up to provide 360-degree panoramic views. Hikers should bring water, wear good walking shoes, and be prepared for changeable weather. 298-5330, ext. 304
