September 21 Blue Ridge Parkway Hike of the Week Join Parkway rangers at 10 AM for an easy 1-hour, 1-mile, 1-way guided hike on the Buck Springs Trail near the site of George Vanderbilt’s hunting lodge. Enjoy cooler fall temperatures and celebrate the autumnal equinox.
The hike starts at the Buck Springs Gap Parking Overlook (MP 407.7) and ends at the Pisgah Inn. Participants may wish to set up shuttles, or they can retrace their steps along the trail back to Buck Springs Gap. Hikers should bring water, wear good walking shoes, and be prepared for changeable weather conditions.
