August 4-5  Lake Logan Multisport Festival  This multisport event has become one of the most popular race weekends in the Southeast. It attracts elite and regular triathletes from across the U.S. for the international distance triathlon on Saturday and the sprint triathlon and aquathon (swim/run) on Sunday. Lake Logan is located in Canton, just west of Asheville.

Register for Sourwood 5K in Black Mountain

Register now for the 21st running of the Sourwood 5K in Black Mountain NC, a premiere road run/walk held August 8th in conjunction with the Sourwood Festival. Also returning this year is the Cheshire Pump & Run where participants earn deductions off their 5K times for doing bench presses pre-race. The well marked/supervised 5K course features rolling hills, shade, two aid stations and lots of fun.
