Christmas at Biltmore begins this week

November 7, 2014 - January 11, 2015   Christmas at Biltmore    The celebration that began on Christmas Eve in 1895 when George Vanderbilt introduced his family and friends to the newly completed Biltmore home, continues to this day. This wonderful celebration allows all visitors to enjoy America's largest home decorated with dozens of Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths, bows, and poinsettias, miles of evergreen garland, and thousands of ornaments.

Teen Beach Movie Beach Party at Biltmore

August 10   Biltmore Hosts Teen Beach Movie Beach Party   Held at Antler Hill Village the event will feature interactive biker and surfer themed entertainment, including the opportunity for kids to make their own biker or surfer props and get their photo taken as characters of "Teen Beach Movie." The Radio Disney AM 1480 Road Crew will help host the activities and games, provide fun "Teen Beach Movie" prizes and play the hottest music from the movie and kids' favorite artists.

Biltmore Tickets Summer Special - Save 10 - $15 and Kids are FREE with Adult Admission

Biltmore, "America's Castle", is one of the most popular attractions in North Carolina and even the entire country. Biltmore was built in 1895 by George Vanderbilt and is preserved and maintained today by his descendants. With interior square footage over 4 acres, 250 rooms, 65 fireplaces, 43 bathrooms and an impressive collection of art and period furnishing it is well worth the admission fee and a day's time.

Once a working dairy farm the estate now includes a winery, 8,000 acres of trails, Antler Village, The Biltmore Legacy, Village Green the Farm,  gardens and grounds to explore, an on site Inn and a variety of fine and casual dining.


Recent heavy rains have caused damage to Biltmore's entrance road, but there is a detour in place and the Estate and its component are open as usual for all to enjoy.Repairs are being made as quickly as possible.

The Festival of Flowers begins this week at Biltmore

March 21 - May 19   Biltmore Blooms - The 28th Annual Festival of Flowers. Biltmore's gardens, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, are alive with color as spring arrives. Enjoy special events and the beauty of tulips, azaleas, and countless other flowers during Biltmore Blooms.

For the first time, guests will be able to step down into the Winter Garden to enjoy a display of exotic orchids intimately, just as George and Edith Vanderbilt's guests might have. Some of the plants will be the same species that were planned for the Biltmore Conservatory in 1894. Outdoors, enjoy a beautiful progression of blooms from tulips to pansies, azaleas, and much more.

November - January 1:  America's largest home, Biltmore, has once again decked its halls with a look and spirit of Christmas as remarkable as the the "castle" itself. A 35 foot Christmas tree greets you as you enter Biltmore, followed by miles of lights, garlands and every manor of holiday decorations.

During Christmas at Biltmore your standard admission includes:

Holiday Decorating Sessions
Visit A Gardener's Place below the Conservatory for these daily craft sessions beginning November 1:

Santa at Antler Hill Village
Santa Claus comes by the village on the weekends to meet the kids and hear Christmas wishes. Visit with him on Saturdays and Sundays, November 10–December 23, 1 p.m.–5 p.m., and also on Friday, November 23.
