January 31 and February 1 at the Diana Wortham Theatre, 2 South Pack Square in downtown Asheville - The Aquila Theatre Company’s “two plays in one weekend” has become an Asheville tradition. Based in New York and London, Aquila Theatre Company this season brings to life one of the most revered novels of the twentieth-century, Ray Bradbury’s visionary parable Fahrenheit 451,
and its pertinent issues of censorship, the effects of technology on
society and literature, and the means by which knowledge is gained.
The second performance is Aquila’s new production of Shakespeare's irresistibly charming Twelfth Night which promises to thrill and enchant.
For insight and increased enjoyment of the plays, ticket holders can
attend free pre-performance discussions in The Forum at Diana Wortham
Theatre at 7:00 PM before each performance.
