September 21-23    F Scott Fitzgerald Weekend at the Grove Park Inn  In 1935 and 1936, Fitzgerald came to Asheville's Grove Park Inn for rest and relaxation while his wife, Zelda, was treated in a nearby hospital. Special Fitzgerald weekend activities include tours of the Fitzgeralds' rooms with a literary expert, a poetry contest, a cooking demonstration, guided resort history tours, and live music throughout the weekend. In this special tribute weekend, step back in time to experience the music, history and literature of a great American writer.
