Wine Class: Wine & Food Pairing Made Simple

March 16, 6PM-8PM, Hops and Vines, 797 Haywood Rd. Ste 100,  West Asheville North Carolina. This class takes a cause and effect look at how food interacts with and changes the flavor of wine.You will sample elements which represent the five basic food tastes: sweet, sour, salt, bitter and umami followed by a taste of wine. After learning some basic food and wine pairing principles, you will be able to predict how the wine will change when tasting it with food. It's an exciting and enlightening class that you won't believe until you try it for yourself!  Classes are $25 per person, and include samples of six wine varietals.
