Christmas at Biltmore a Family Tradition

Start a new tradition this year with a family visit to Christmas at Biltmore. Buy tickets online and save up to $8 off regular adult daytime admission for Sunday-Friday visits now through December 25. December 20-24, daytime admission is free for youth 10-16. For kids 9 and under, admission is free daily. Children love the thousands of ornaments and twinkling lights throughout Biltmore House, and the majestic, exquisitely trimmed 35-foot Fraser fir in the Banquet Hall. And on weekends, Santa makes appearances at River Bend Farm —a fun place for kids to visit any time of year to learn about life on the estate in the 1890s through demonstrations, craft activities, farmyard tours, and more.

Biltmore's Field to Table Festival

September 20-27 at The Biltmore in Asheville. Biltmore's Field to Table Festival explores the transformation of humble Appalachian ingredients into fare fit for the Vanderbilts' table. The mingling of sophistication and the goodness of estate farms everyday bounty would have created an environment of culinary creativity and discovery, using fresh produce brought in that day. This year's also highlights Mr. Vanderbilt's love of wine and collecting wine during his travels. Guest chefs and speakers will demonstrate how, with a little imagination and common ingredients, an everyday meal can become something truly extraordinary.
