This event is an annual performing arts,
multiple venue festival that provides artists with opportunities to
explore the edges of their work, to collaborate across genres and to
bring new and innovative performances to culturally adventurous
audiences. Founded in 2002, AFAF has been keeping Asheville interesting
for over a decade.

Montford Music and Arts Festival This
is the largest one-day, free music and arts festival in Western NC - so large it's held on two streets: Montford and Soco.
Enjoy more than 100 vendors of art, crafts, plants and food along with two stages of non-stop entertainment with 20 performing music groups and a children’s area. The Festival is known for its many quality craft persons and artists who return every year to offer their wares. The special Juried Artists section exemplifies the degree of excellence you will find at the festival.
Located near the Asheville NC Visitors Center in Historic Montford with shady tree-lined streets and unique architecture, from turn of the century “Victorian” to Arts and Craft designs. On street parking and a bike corral will be available. The event will be held rain or shine and admission is free.

Artisans working in Glass, Ceramics, Wood, Jewelry,
and metal show and sell in a public market setting in the center of
Asheville NC in Pack Square Park.
The event takes place on three consecutive Saturdays each June and October. Nationally known artists exhibit at this event and the best part is- they are local. 10% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local art non-profit organization.

Asheville Chocolate and Arts Festival
Date: December 8 Asheville Chocolate and Arts Festival A multicultural arts event featuring performers, musicians and dancers from Asheville and beyond. Experience local artisans, baskets and basket weaving demonstrations by Gullah artisans, cultural arts and education by members of the Cherokee Nation, Bellydancing, African dance, Argentine Tango, Hip Hop, and local chocolate tasting by Asheville's finest chocolatiers and dessert-makers.
Performers will also be teaching classes in: Drumming, Bellydance, Tango, West African Dance, and digeridoo throughout the day which are all included in your ticket price. This is a family friendly event with Local children's performance artists Juan Halladay and the Secret B-sides, balloon twisting, face painting, and dance workshops. 25% of proceeds will be donated to Urban Arts Institute and Odyessy School to fund multicultural arts education for Asheville youth.
