"The Elements" Perform this Weekend at Diana Wortham Theatre
June 26 - 27, 8 PM at Diana Wortham Theatre, 2 S Pack Square in downtown Asheville NC: The Elements. Choreographer Heather Maloy's newest creation is a world premiere showcasing celebrated international dancers.
The local troupe has been delighting the public for the past three weeks as it rehearsed outdoors on stage at Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville, braving the elements while creating the work. Don't miss the final two performances at Diana Wortham Theatre this Friday and Saturday — a culmination of a performance in progress.

Mark has done a Comedy Central HALF HOUR special, has appeared on TBS’s CONAN twice, Showtime's "Live at SXSW", INSIDE AMY SCHUMER, TruTv, Best Week Ever, Last Comic Standing, @Midnight and released an album with Comedy Central records titled "Still Got It" (its not bad). In 2013 won Caroline's March Madness competition, beating out 63 other comedians. And was also voted Village Voice's "Best Comedian of 2013". In 2012, Mark appeared on “John Oliver’s New York Standup Show” on Comedy Central, and in 2011 was picked as one of Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch."

Artisans working in Glass, Ceramics, Wood, Jewelry,
and metal show and sell in a public market setting in the center of
Asheville NC in Pack Square Park.
The event takes place on three consecutive Saturdays each June and October. Nationally known artists exhibit at this event and the best part is- they are local. 10% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local art non-profit organization.

Funny Business at the Millroom Fund Raiser for the American Cancer Society
June 20, 2015 (8 PM - 9:30 PM) - Funny Business at The Millroom, 66 Asheland Avenue in Asheville NC, presents comedian Grant Lyon, 2014 Laughing Skull Comedy Festival Winner.
Grant won the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival beating out comedians from all over the country, and was chosen as a New Face in comedy at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. As well as performing in a number of other prestigious comedy festivals including The Great American Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Grant performed on the TV show Comics Unleashed. He has appeared on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show and is heard regularly on Sirius/XM satellite radio.
As well as being a contributing writer for the Huffington Post, the short film he wrote and starred in, Interview Date, was eligible for a short film Academy Award in 2013. Funny or Die, MSN, Huffington Post, and others are among the sites that have featured Grant’s sketch videos on their home pages. You might also recognize Grant from a number of national commercials including AT&T, Johnsonville Sausage, CiCi’s Pizza, and more.

This is a Series of five Friday nights of live concerts by the French
Broad River in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC. This month's
performers are: The Ben Miller Band,
