Asheville Valentine's Day Events: Aurlo Guthrie Performs at Diana Wortham Theatre

February 13 - 14, 2015   Aurlo Guthrie: Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary Tour   As part of an international tour, Arlo Guthrie brings The Alice’s Restaurant Massacree, in its entirety, along with other Guthrie favorites to the Mainstage Music Series at the Diana Wortham Theatre. 

The Diana Wortham Theatre is located at 2 S Pack Square in downtown Asheville NC.

aSHEville Museum Celebrates Valentines with Local Women Artists

February 11, 2015   Valentine's Celebration with She Artristy at aSHEville Museum   Meet the women artists and artisans showcased at aSHEville Museum, including painters, jewelers, photographers, candle makers, and crafters. Support Asheville's women at this local artist meet and greet.

 aSHEville Museum is a women’s cultural museum with a mission to contribute to the creation of more just and equitable world through its collection of intimate exhibits which range from historic to contemporary in scope, and local to global. Core exhibits include: Appalachian Women, 100 Years of Sexism in Advertising, and A History of Hysteria. 

aSHEville Museum also houses a variety of rotating exhibits. The Museum gift shop offers art, crafts, and gift items made by talented local and regional women artists and fair-trade women-made items supporting women's organizations. The Museum is located at 35 Wall Street in downtown Asheville NC.

The Millroom Valentine's Day Comedy Show Features Ryan Dalton

February 14, 7 PM and 9 PM at Funny Business at the Millroom, 66 Asheland Avenue in Asheville NC: Valentine's Day Show Featuring Ryan Dalton. Ryan is a regular on the nationally syndicated, "Bob and Tom Radio Show". Ryan made his television debut on Comedy Central's "LIVE AT GOTHAM" and wrote for Comedy Central’s "Roast of Charlie Sheen" in 2011.

Ryan took the grand prize at the 2011 World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and finished as a finalist in the 2011 Boston Comedy Festival. Ryan finished as a finalist in the 2012 Laughing Skull Festival. Ryan was chosen to perform in the "New Faces / Un-repped" showcase at the 2012 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.  He can be seen on the TBS hit comedy, "Sullivan & Son.”

Buying tickets in advanced is highly recommended. Free parking is available across the street from The Millroom at The Asheland Center - 53 Asheland Avenue - after 6 PM. The Millroom offers a full bar and food.
