Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt Showing in Asheville

Nov 28,10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (continuous showings) , Pack Place Community Gallery, Asheville NC The Asheville Art Museum will screen Rob Epstein's Oscar-winning documentary which profiles six people who subsequently died of AIDS. Using the AIDS Memorial Quilt as his starting point, this film humanizes the disease and illustrates its carnage, showing how it devastates families and communities.Narrated by Dustin Hoffman. The film will screen continuously throughout the day and is free to Museum Members and the public. Western North Carolina AIDS Project will be displaying portions of the AIDS Memorial Quilt  in Pack Place through Dec 2. Website: http://www.ashevilleart.org
